I'm a linux build right now and trying to get gvim to launch with the settings I have have under the ~./.gvimrc file.
Edit: Found out it wasn't referring to this file due to launching with su which I'm not longer doing and don't need to use custom editor definition now.
I might be just too new to gvim but I did manage to get a custom editor definition to work with this command: (making the color scheme to not default)
gvim [file name] +[line number] +colorscheme\"slate"
I was also trying to get it to startup with the other command "set clipboard=unnamedplus" to link the clipboard together for simplicity but everything I try to put in the editor definition doesn't seem to cooperate.
Any tips out there?
This is a system setup issue, not Vivado specific. However as an avid vim user, I'll point you towards the official documentation for the ".vimrc" file (.gvimrc since you're using gvim) here: http://vimdoc.sourceforge.net/htmldoc/usr_05.html#vimrc-intro.Also, reference this conversation for gvimrc vs vimrc: https://vi.stackexchange.com/questions/471/why-do-i-need-both-a-vimrc-and-a-gvimrc Both links off-site.Please mark reply as accepted solution if it answers your question.
