vivado 2019.1 linux (ubuntu cannot see target)

Jump to solution

installed vivado 2019.1 linux webpack on a fedora machine at home and the hardware manager correctly sees my zybo-z7 board.  However, after installing same software on work machine running ubuntu 16.04lts, the hardware manager (hw_server) will NOT see the zybo-z7 board, even though its serial uarts are correctly found by the OS.

The only difference between home vivado and the one at work is that on the ubuntu version at work I installed the updated board files in data/boards/board_files.

yes...one installation correctly ran the driver install while the other did not.  both instances have the proper udev links in place now after manually running the driver_install in the SDK.

Hi @rprowel

In both scenarios are you connecting to the board using hw_server?

Cheers
