Partial reconfiguration decoupler

Hello,

I generated a PR decoupler and I noticed it always gives me a AXI WSTRB witdth of 1 instead of 4.

It means word accesses turn into byte accesses.

It's fairly new to me so maybe I missed something. 

I've checked on vivado 2019.1.1.

The IP always has

s_intf_0_WSTRB : IN STD_LOGIC_VECTOR(0 DOWNTO 0);
rp_intf_0_WSTRB : OUT STD_LOGIC_VECTOR(0 DOWNTO 0);

You can try to modify the width of "s_intf_0_WSTRB"/ "rp_intf_0_WSTRB" directly in "Interface Option" as the below pic

Hi,

When I generate it I get the AXI WSTRB as a one bit vector whereas I believe it should be 4 bits.

In the vho I have

s_intf_0_WSTRB : IN STD_LOGIC_VECTOR(0 DOWNTO 0);
rp_intf_0_WSTRB : OUT STD_LOGIC_VECTOR(0 DOWNTO 0);

I didn't find a way to force it to be 4 bits.

I've tried to post the xci and even txt file but it wouldn't let me so I copied it below. It said the content doesn't match the file extension

Hi,

Nice, that's what I was after and I would have set it if it was showing like that for me.

My question should have been: My interface option is not showing the strobe so I'm not able to make it a 4 bit bus. How can I configure it to show the AXI bus signals?

Your view explained it to me, it's not showing all the signals in the interface option but you can actually pick which signal you want it to show and set their width.

Thanks for your help. I'm good now. Just as a comment that width should be 4 by default.

In 2019.2, the default width of WSTRB has been changed to 4 ([3:0]) to be consistent with WDATA.
