Zynq DDR memory test during boot (FSBL or U-boot)

I'm using a Zynq device, and I would like to add a DDR memory test during system boot.

Situation 1: Zynq runs Linux

Q 1.1 : I'm not sure what would be the best/easiest place to add the memory test : in the FSBL or U-Boot?

Q 1.2 : does U-boot have an option to test DDR memory anyway? If so, does U-boot run completely from OCM, so it does not use DDR memory to run?

Situation 2 : Zynq runs bare metal app

so : FSBL -> loads application

Q 2.1 : same question here : run the memory test in FSBL or Application?

And of course : is there some Xilinx source code available that can be easily integrated into FSBL or application code?

Re: Zynq DDR memory test during boot (FSBL or U-boot)

The uboot executes from where ever you tell it to in the defconfig file (CONFIG_SYS_TEXT)

The fsbl would be easiest. I have done this before. You can add the test in the fsbl fallback
