Add port to SDK terminal in Linux

Hello,

I've quite little experince working under Linux.

As I remember under Windows when one adds new port to SDK teminal, Port drop-down list provide all hoices.

Under Linux it's different: Port drop-down list is empty.

I suppose that new port must have some symbolic name ?

Executing this comman in Linux terminal, I get this result:

aaa@bbb:~$ dmesg | grep tty
[ 0.000000] console [tty0] enabled
[ 0.709742] 00:03: ttyS0 at I/O 0x3f8 (irq = 4, base_baud = 115200) is a 16550A
[ 0.730792] 0000:00:16.3: ttyS4 at I/O 0xf0a0 (irq = 17, base_baud = 115200) is a 16550A
[ 2.378661] usb 2-1.2: FTDI USB Serial Device converter now attached to ttyUSB0
[ 4656.277737] ftdi_sio ttyUSB0: FTDI USB Serial Device converter now disconnected from ttyUSB0

When I specfy ttyUSB0 in Port fiel in Basic Settings of "Connect to serial port" I get this:

Nothing found at port: ttyUSB0

Any suggestions ?

Thanks

I had this problem too on ZCU104, Ubuntu 18.04, SDK2019.1.3

After installing drivers from /Xilinx/Vivado/2019.1/data/xicom/cable_drivers/lin64/install_script/install_drivers

sudo ./install_drivers

There was a port access permissions problem:

sudo gpasswd --add ${USER} dialout
reboot
