Debugging PL from PS

I am wondering if there are any off-the-shelf solutions for debugging PL fabric logic from the PS? It seem from reading the TRM that one can do simultaneous PS and PL debugging, but the possibility of using that infrastructure to debug the PL from PS is not easily interpreted.
