Have a legacy design with a V5 and an external SSRAM device, which are used to communicate with a MPC7448 processor. Was wondering if anyone can chime in on the amount of effort required to change from the SSRAM device to an SDRAM device. Not sure of the design rationale behind the selection of SSRAM, but I'm wondering if I can possibly pitch the change to SDRAM, as I see that I would then use the MIG, as opposed to this custom SSRAM controller that is currently being used.
