I'm facing an issue in EDK (11.1) where in "Generate Linker Script" trying to change:
section size (byte) Memory
.text 0x000004600 ilmb_cntlr_dlmb_cntlr
.text 0x000004600 xps_bram_if_cntlr_0
but then I'm getting error as:
ERROR:EDK:1811 - Memory xps_bram_if_cntlr_0 cannot hold all the sections assigned to it. Please remove some section assignments from this memory.
ERROR:EDK:1201 - Errors found in selection. Please correct the errors and try regenerating the linker script. uhah
also, before I do this I got a message/warning that this service is deprecated! and it is recommended to use SDK.
What is this sfotware development kit? how/where can I use it?
but then my existing manual says that I have to follow this step but EDK is newer as far as versionning. I will appreciate it if an expert could walk me through this

I suppose the BRAM is to small for your purpose. Either you will enlarge it or you should move the whole code and sections to the RAM (if there is any on your board).
The SDK is a part of the EDK. It is recommended to do the whole hardware stuff in the platform studio and the software stuff in the SDK.

Plz refer this doc for using SDK and knowing about it.
