HDF file missing IP cores

Case 1: When I'm using Block Design (BD) only as a processor wrapper and included my custom AXI IP cores as design sources outside the wrapper they don't get exported to HDF-file and will be missed on a device-tree.

Case 2: Again if I include my custom cores as modules to BD they will be shown on a device-tree generated from the HDF-file. 

Is there a way to get the custom IP cores get exported correctly to HDF-file in a case 1 so they will be shown on a device-tree?

When you export to SDK only the IP in the IPI will be added to the HDF

Did you figure out the solution to this. I am kind of in the same boat. My AXI IP is added as a source but not in the block design and is connected manually in a top level file. When i export HDF to SDK i dont see it getting listed.
