How can we run directly updatemem utility as we did with data2mem? - (Windows)

Jump to solution

We create .bit file on LINUX.  And then we develop our SW code on FPGA connected to WINDOWS.

But, we need to update ROM memory contents on windows on the fly.

How do we use updatemem on a system that is separate from the one where we created the .bit file?

Do we need to install full Vivado?  Vivado Lab edition?  Is XSCT available for windows shell?

Or best case solution would be a separate updatemem.exe like there was a data2mem.exe ?

You can call the updatemem from the SDK install. Do you mean, can you use the updatemem without the SDK install? If so, then no. Updatemem has some dependencies and needs the libs in SDK
