Launching SDK error

Jump to solution

Hi,

I am trying to launch SDK from XPS 13.2 but it comes up up with this error

"Locking is not possible in the directory "/opt/Xilinx/13.2/ISE_DS/EDK/eclipse/lin64/eclipse/configuration/org.eclipse.osgi". A common reason is that the file system or Runtime Environment does not support file locking for that location. Please choose a different location, or disable file locking passing "-Dosgi.locking=none" as a VM argument. /opt/Xilinx/13.2/ISE_DS/EDK/eclipse/lin64/eclipse/configuration/org.eclipse.osgi/.manager/.fileTableLock (Permission denied)".

any idea what might be the cause?

- I don't have any other session of SDK running.

- this has been installed on a server and my other coworkers are able to launch it.

Thanks,

e.

Sounds like a permissions issue. Can you check to see that you and the coworker have the same permissions on that directory/file?
