Memory read error at 0xF8F00208. Cannot halt processor core, timeout

Jump to solution

Hi,

I am trying Hello World application on Zybo Z7-20 and get error:

Memory read error at 0xF8F00208. Cannot halt processor core, timeout.

After making some Google search, I found that someone mentioned that it might be power issue, so I changed to wall power supply but still it didn`t work.

PL design is so simple. Any help is appreciated.

I've checked the XSA, it works fine when the boot jumper settings (JP5) are set correctly to JTAG. I can repeat your error by changing the boot settings to QSPI or SD Card. So make sure that you have the settings set to JTAG (see below). Power off the board first, change the the jumper to JTAG, power-on, re-run your program. You may need to rebuild or clean the program before you re-run it, to tidy up from the earlier error. See how you get on with this.

Are you using the preset settings for the zynq PS in Vivado? If not, can you try this?

If you want to attach the XSA file for your project, I will test it on a Zybo-Z7-20 and see what happens.
