Microblaze compilation with docker

We are trying to build an automated process for compiling with microblaze using containers.

Is a docker container exist for that purpose?

1) Our HW team creates an HDF file as an input to the sdk

2) One of the programmers use the sdk generates to microblaze libs.

3) Using the gcc-microblaze to generate the srec file

Does someone did it with docker?

Hi @Jonathan1,

If you were able to automate the whole flow in any given machine then Dockerizing that won't be an issue.

Best regards,

So my question is, do xilinx maintains a docker container for compiling so everyone can use it? (Without the need to dockerize it myself)

Hi @Jonathan1 ,

No, Xilinx does not provide containers for cross-compilation.

Hi @Jonathan1 ,

No, Xilinx does not provide containers for cross-compilation per se. Howerver I notice that the AI team does offer few docker containers for AI related development purposes and I'm wondering if the vitis-ai container might have the full Vitis tool set installed, which includes the MB toolchain. In that case I guess you could use that docker container for your purpose even thought the container itself provides much more tools that what you need for your use case
