Microblaze minimum instruction memory

Jump to solution

Hi,

I am trying to create a standalone microblaze based design in vivado but I only want to have instruction memory that is 1KB in size. Vivado is only givving me options of 4K and beyond. Is there a way I can have an instruction memory exactly equal to 1K.

Thanks

For creating SDK styled projects from commandline, you can use XSCT

Refer to XSCT use cases chapter, for some examples

It will use at least one Block RAM which is 4kB in size, so I don't see the point.

Thanks much for the response. So it is not configurable to 1KB as I understand.

Also I would like to know if Xilinx provides a command line tool chain to write C codes ,compile and generate binaries.

I am aware of the SDK flow but we wont be able to use SDK in our project so was wondering if we have a command line tool flow.

Please point me to resources if there is one. Thanks and appreciate all your help.

The SDK uses GCC which you can also run on the command line.
