I've installed the SDK 2016.3 on Linux Mint 18, which is based on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. But I can hardly use the IDE/SDK, because the UI is broken. Please look at the screenshot: 1) Left side: selected items turn invisible 2) Right side: Control elements do not have any borders. That's still working for buttons like in this example, but checkboxes, radiobuttons etc. are also completely hidden/invisible.

Well, Linux Mint 18 is "Ubuntu Linux 16.04 LTS: 64-bit" with Cinnamon Desktop, instead of Unity.
Do you say that's the problem and it will run fine on a "real" Ubuntu?

Supported versions are just that: supported (we check they work).
Anything else is just that: something different (we have no idea what it does).

The broken UI can be fixed by entering the next directory
$ cd SDK/2016.2/lib/lnx64.o/
and using the linux libstdc instead of the one of Vivado, this is:
$ sudo mv libstdc++.so.6 libstdc++.so.6.orig $ sudo ln -s /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6 libstdc++.so.6
If the SDK doesn't run at all you can add the line:
Any way, even when it's possible to run the SDK I can't debug using GDB nor TCF, the breakpoints are not working. Any idea from the experts?
