SDK Crashes in Vivado 2015.1 and will not import design

After opening the implemented design, launch SDK. The design is not imported and SDK will crash with the following -

_cairo_operator_bounded_by_source: Assertion `NOT_REACHED' failed.

Same thing happened in 2014.4 but at least 14.4 picked up the design correctly but crashed with the same message when double clicking on .h file

Environment is Scientific Linux 6.6 (RHEL 6.6 clone)

Re: SDK Crashes in Vivado 2015.1 and will not import design

hi,

are you able to export the design to SDK? if yes, can you attach the hdf/xml?

Re: SDK Crashes in Vivado 2015.1 and will not import design

Hi,

I am not sure but it looks like known RHEL Eclipse Kepler issue due to which it crashes.

Could you refer to https://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/t/834565/  to set it correct?

Additinally, look into https://access.redhat.com/solutions/1242383.

Regards

Praveen

Re: SDK Crashes in Vivado 2015.1 and will not import design

Hi Hem

Attached is the exported file. Could you take a look. One other comment, the documentation says that both teh implementation and the bd files must be open. However, when you open one the other closes.

Thanks

Arun

Re: SDK Crashes in Vivado 2015.1 and will not import design

Hi Praveen

I had tried the cairo insertion in the ini file mentioned in the eclispe.org/forum, did not work for me.

The redhat access solutions goes to a page that doesnt exist. I do not have access to red hat support.

Thanks

Arun

Re: SDK Crashes in Vivado 2015.1 and will not import design

hi

i see a similar issue with 2015.1 sdk in ubunutu 14.04 while creating the fsbl, it suddenly crashes and the window gets closed.

here is the generate messages while this happens

#
# A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment:
#
#  SIGSEGV (0xb) at pc=0x00007f379ae65398, pid=6561, tid=139876875441920

# Problematic frame:
# C  0x00007f379ae65398

......

i replaced the jre1.8 of vivado itself with 1.7 and 1.6 to see if the issue gets solved... the issue is the same for all of them.

Re: SDK Crashes in Vivado 2015.1 and will not import design

If I run sdk separately, instead of calling it from within vivado, every thing works fine.

so in vivado, if I only export the hardware (create .hdf file)

then if I run the xsdk separately and import the hdl file and crate a bsp with that and then proceed with the rest of the design, every thing runs fine.

Re: SDK Crashes in Vivado 2015.1 and will not import design
