SDK missing "launch on hardware" in 14.3 and 14.4

Hi all,

I created a hardware platform for my zedboard (z7020), and in SDK I would like to do a peripheral test.

After downloading the system.bit via "Program FPGA", I clicked on "Run As", which is typically what I did in 14.2, but there are only two options:

1 Local C/C++ Application

2 Remote ARM Linux Application

"Launch on Hardware" disappeared.

I tested in both Ubuntu 12.04 64bit and Windows 7 32bit, with ISE_DS version 14.3 and 14.4. They all have this problem.

Thanks in advance.

Lin

I too have this issue. It appears to come and go for no apparent reason. I can always use "Debug As" or "Run As" to get the required functionality but it is very annoying.

So I'm not sure why this is not answered at all,

I have this same issue and it's just unfortunate to have the last step of a design fail which is launching the program in SDK

Please somebody help out, why the "launch on hardware" has disapeared? so how is one supposed to run code in SDK?

Thanks,

Hi gentleman

I have exactly the same problem. Windows XP (32bit) installation of 14.3. The funny thing is it worked first. Then I modified the test application to an other delay of the LED --> lunch on Hardware disappears ???

I will test is "Debug as" or "run as" will work.

I also meet this problem. By now, I could fix it only by reopen xsdk.

What does 'use "run configuration" alternatively' mean?
