XSCT fails on windows

Jump to solution

Hello, I am runing xsct on my windows machine in cygwin terminal and I get

/cygdrive/c/Xilinx/SDK/2017.4/bin/unwrapped/lnx64.o/rlwrap: No such file or directory.

Now since I am in windows I would expect Xilinx scripts too recognize the platform and search in win64.o instead.

I looked in the xsct script and see that export RDI_PLATFORM=lnx32 is hard-coded to lnx32 and lnx64 only. Please let me know how to fix it or is there any patches available

on my cygwin, the uname -m returns x86_64

Hi @vgimonkar,

You should run xsct.bat instead of xsct, on Windows. On Windows shell, running xsct will launch the batch script, but not on Cygwin. Also, please avoid using Cygwin, if possible. Xilinx SDK tools do not depend on Cygwin, and use MinGW
