XSDK debugging BSP Driver not Application Software

In XSDK, Once the System Debugger tool has launched, the XSDK shows a "disassembly" view which shows assembly level code with its corresponding hex formatted location in memory. From other posts on the fourm, I believe its running the bsp's driver software instead of our application software (C/C++). Why is the XSDK showing assembly instead of our application firmware written in C/C++ and how do I switch to the C/C++ firmware?  The software compiles without errors.

Thanks!

In the debug config GUI, can you open the symbols tab and make sure your elf is added here?

Are you on a network drive? can you make sure that the debugger can resolve the path?
