block automation in Block Design (Zynq)

Jump to solution

Hi, I'm beginner for SoC on FPGA.

My FPGA Board is zcu102.

I'm practicing to configure PS & PL on FPGA board using Vivado & Vitis 2021.01 version.

I'm following "ug1209-embedded-design-tutorial".

On 17 page of the user-guide, there is "Run Block Automation".

After operating "Run Block Automation", it seems that the zynq_ultra_ps module get I2C, UART, USB, GPIO etc by default.

But in my vivado program, there is no "Run Block Automation" button (Green bar).

As I know, "Run Automation Block" could be done also by tcl command "apply_bd_automation -rule xilinx.com:bd_rule:zynq_ultra_ps_e -config {apply_board_preset "1"} [get_bd_cells zynq_ultra_ps_e_0]"

but after I do the tcl command, nothing happens.

Is there any reason for that?
