Re: commands of XMD console

Check the EDK reference manual below (By the way, download Xilinx Document Navigator to manage all Xilinx documents) :

http://www.xilinx.com/support/documentation/sw_manuals/xilinx14_1/est_rm.pdf

Re: commands of XMD console

Great

I am happy to hear about this Document Navigator.

The "searching" on the Xilinx website never gets me to the right document.

Is it only for Windows ? (I have a Mac and Linux, I don't touch windows ... )

thanks

Re: commands of XMD console

The current version of Document Navigator is only for Windows. Linux version will come out with 2012.2/14.2 release. Stay tuned.

Re: commands of XMD console

Also for a quick reference you can type "help" in the XMD console and this list will show up:

XMD Terminal Commands Types:

init......... Load/Initialize the System Files
connect...... Connect to System Target
files........ Load ELF/Data files
running...... Program Execution
breakpoints.. Setting Breakpoints/Watchpoints
trace........ Tracing and Profiling options
misc......... Miscellaneous Options
help......... Help on help

Type "help" to display XMD command types
Type "help" followed by above "type" for more options

And then if you type for example:

XMD% help "files"

Specify/Download ELF or Data files to System Target
----- Syntax -----                  ----- Description -----
dow <filename>                      Download Elf File

dow <filename> <addr>               Download PIC Elf File from <addr>

dow <-data> <filename> <addr>       Download Data/Binary File from <addr>

elf_verify [filename]               Verify if ELF file was downloaded correctly

data_verify <filename> <addr>       Verify if Data file was downloaded correctly

stackcheck                          Get the Stack Usage of the Program

Hope that helps you to get faster access to the commands.

Good luck,

Mariano
