edk debug issue

Hi,

I have been trying to understand how the timer ip in edk works. I am using a spartan3E500 starter board and used BSB to create an XPS project with timer, uart and interrupt controller. I tried to use the debug tool with the hardware to determine what is going on but it does not look like data is being written to memory properly for some reason. I have attached a picture of what I see in the debugger. From the picture, you can see that the instruction

0x00000d44 <XTmrCtr_Initialize+144>: sw r9, r3, r4 has already been carried out. R3 contains 0x83c00000 and R4 contains 0x10. In the memory rendering at the bottom of the picture, Memory address 0x83c00010 does not seem to have been modified with data 0x120 in R9. I am a little confused as to what could be going wrong. Thanks a lot for any insight
