hi I have created a new peripheral and add it to a new p...

hi

I have created a new peripheral and add it to a new project.
Then I generated the libraries and bsps and bitstream file.
When I test the peripheral on the board, see it work well.
But when I change the userlogic and import the peripheral to
the project again I can't see my changes in the action of the peripheral!!
I cleand the bitstream and generated again but again it didn't take affect
the peripheral!
Why did it happen ?
What must I do?!

Thanks in advance,
Best regards.

Usually after you modify your custom IP, you need to run "Rescan User Repositories" so that the XPS can recognize the modifiications.

Then clean the netlist and re-implement the design.

EDK does not check the VHDL of your peripheral to check to see if there have been any changes.  If your peripheral is constantly changing (as you are adding new features and fixing bugs), it can be tedious to constantly clean up all of your project.

If you open your .mpd file for the peripheral, you can set the following line:

OPTION CORE_STATE = DEVELOPMENT

This will make sure that no matter what you do (or dont do!) the core will be re-synthesized every time you run Platform Generator (generate netlist).  If you modify the mpd, pao, or bbd for the peripheral, make sure to rescan the peripheral respository - as mentioned in the post above.

Hope that helps.
