how to add a custom module ( VHDL) in a stand-alone mode system?

I have built up a stand-alone mode system with the PPC405 in FPGA, now the task is to add a custom module, which is compiled with VHDL.  Could anybody tell me some related information on this topic? Or is there any example?

Although I know how to add a custom IP, which was created by applying the wizard, the difference is that this module is generated by custom and only the VHDL files, which have nothing to do with the peripheral port or components.

Thanks a lot!

Have you tried running throught the Import Peripheral Wizard, this will help you create cores from the HDL files, add HDL files to cores, add netlists to cores, etc.

Hello,

Have a look at the guide named " EDK Concepts, Tools, and Techniques—A Hands-on Guide to Effective Embedded System Design" at http://www.xilinx.com/ise/embedded/edk_docs.htm .
It is really well explained how to add a custom peripheral.

Greetings,

Nicolas
