microblaze application build FAILS - help!

Jump to solution

It seems like in my project the microblaze directory gets created read-only, then XPS attempts to copies files to it.

Has anyone else ran into this problem and how to remedy it?  Why would XPS create the dir read-only then attempt to copy files to it!!??

Solution:  (from Xilinx AR #25492 -10.1 EDK)

This issue occurs with some IBM PCs. To work around this issue, add the Environment Variable CYGWIN=nontsec as follows:

1. Right-click the My Computer icon and select Properties.
2. Select the Advanced tab.
3. Select the Environment Variables button.
4. Under System variables, select the New button.
5. For the variable name, enter CYGWIN.
6. For the variable value, enter "nontsec".
7. Select the OK button three times.
8. If XPS was open, restart XPS so that it will recognize the new environment variable.
