Empty Python3 Interpreter in Petalinux

Jump to solution

Hi there.

I am trying to add python3 to my instance of Petalinux. I used petalinux-config -c rootfs to do that. I enabled both the python and the python3 package. When I copy the rootfs to the SD card, the file that should be the python3 interpreter is an empty file. The regular python interpreter works fine. I also tried adding all python packages that are not -dbg or -dev files in case this is a dependency issue. Still nothing. Has anyone ever encountered something like this?

I kind of solved this problem. Apparently when you build petalinux, its python3-link points to python3.5 but it should point to python3.5m. I just changed the link, now it works. Still  kind of odd though.
