Error -> bootgen: command not found

Dear all,

I am trying to generate BOOT image for my zedboard.

I am using  petalinux 2013.04 running on ubuntu 11.04.

I am following this guide:

http://www.wiki.xilinx.com/Zynq+Base+TRD+2013.2

I already built petalinux (step 10).

I already generated all files needed (.bit and .elf) but as soon as I try to generate the boot image, I obtain:

$petalinux-gen-zynq-boot: line 291: bootgen: command not found

$ERROR: Fail to create BOOT image

I guess it to be a problem with EDK/SDK but I set my XILINX_EDK variable where the bootgen file is!

In fact, by using

 $ env

I obtain

XILINX_EDK=/opt/Xilinx/SDK/2013.2/bin/lin/bootgen

what should I do?

Thanks.

Re: Error -> bootgen: command not found

Sorry...my fault.

To have not that error, you have to check to have the file with bootgen in your path.

Regards.

Re: Error -> bootgen: command not found

In general it is a good idea to source the settings64.sh script (or equivalent for 32 bit architecture or csh shell) from the IDS/Vivado installation directory before sourcing the PetaLinux setup script. This will put all the required Xilinx tools in the search path.
