Frozen State Error when starting kernel module

Hello,

I am tasked with writing a kernel module for our artix 7 on a RHEL 7 machine. I am using the example XDMA driver provided from the xilinx github here: https://github.com/Xilinx/dma_ip_drivers/tree/master/XDMA/linux-kernel.

When the kernel module is loaded I get a "xdma_error_detected: dev 0xffff9913b43d9000,0xffff9913b3d76000, frozen state error, reset controller" message. the kernel then proceeds to stop engines and set the devices offline, do a slot reset, then set the device online again. When I try to use the reg_rw tool, I always return 0xffffffff.

How do I fix the "frozen state error"?

@venkata can you take a look on this one. Looks like PCIe XDMA drivers.

Thanks,
