Generate a device tree without a processor in the firmware design

Hi,

I have a firmware design with GPIO's for configuration, intended to be programmed by an external CPU.

I've been trying to generate a device tree for this design from Vitis, but it seems like it requires a processor in the design itself.

Is there any way of doing this without needing this processor?

No, the DTG (devicetree generator) needs a processor. You will need to add the node manually

You could hack the DTG to allow this, but it wouldnt be worth the effort for just one node
