I can not enter any command on Putty

Hello everyone,

I work with the ZCU104 kit and try to run the VCU application with BOOT.BIN and image.ub from the ZCU104 BSP file. The files boot seamlessly when I connect the Putty Terminal. But I can not enter any command later. What is the reason of this situation?

Best regards,

Re: I can not enter any command on Putty

Some suggestions:

  • ensure that both Tx and Rx pins are connected - could it be a bad contact or lose pin?
  • in Putty ensure that you have disabled flow control for the serial port you're using.

If you still cannot get it to work, test your Putty and cable using a loop-back connection (join RX and TX together) without being connected to the target. Any character typed in putty should immediately be echoed back. If not, check your settings, and if necessary, put a scope on the signal to see if TX is occurring.
