Kernel source building error

Hi all,

         To build a driver externally I have to build the kernel source from the petalinux build

When I build the same I see this issue

make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=/opt/xilinx/petalinux/v2019.1/tools/xsct/gnu/aarch32/lin/gcc-arm-none-eabi/bin/arm-none-eabi-
scripts/kconfig/conf --syncconfig Kconfig
CALL scripts/checksyscalls.sh
HOSTCC scripts/sign-file
scripts/sign-file.c:25:10: fatal error: openssl/opensslv.h: No such file or directory
#include <openssl/opensslv.h>

What I have to do to solve this issue?

Hi @thenumberdevil

Would you add "-I<header directory>" to environment CFLAGS ?

Best regards,

Hi All,

            Thank you for the information. The problem was that my kernel source was not build properly, That triggered this issue when I build the driver externally.

Hi,

        How to build a driver in the petalinux but enabled from a script. Is that possible.So that I can avoid the problem of building exterenally instead build it directly from the system?
