Linux USB Ethernet Support

We have an older (3.x) version of linux running on our Zynq processor board with USB-to-Ethernet (network) support. We updated linux to v 4.14 and no longer see the same Xilinx USB driver files and the USB-to-Ethernet no longer works on the same hardware. Namely, the ehci-xilinx-usbps.c driver seems to be what was used previously from the linux boot message output.

Is there a new driver to use for Xilinx Zynq USB-to-Ethernet support in linux?

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi @amassa

I suggest you to make sure device information by following command, first.

$ lsusb

Because it is not enough information to resolve it.

Thanks for the reply.

The output from the lsusb command is

Hi @amassa

I'm a little confused.

The meaning of device "1d6b" is "Linux Foundation's USB 2.0 root hub".

I'd like to know what you use as usb-ethernet device.

Would you execute same command after pluged your USB Ethernet device ?

Best regards,

Hi @amassa

As you mentioned before post, I guess it seems aht you have to add kernel driver (maybe for AX88179 USB3.0 to Gigabit Ethernet controller).

However need more informarmation.

Could you execute my previous mentioned command ?

Best regards,

I'm using AX88172, but I'm not sure about the kernel congfigurations and device tree of USB. Would you give me any advice? If needed, I would post my configurations.
