NFS mount need a /sbin/mount.<type> helper program

Hello,

I am using Linux plnx_aarch64 4.9.0-xilinx-v2017.1.

I tried to mount a remote file system via mount, but received the following error...

mount -t nfs 139.169.100.120:/export /mnt

mount: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on 139.169.100.120:/export,

missing codepage or helper program, or other error

(for several filesystems (e.g. nfs, cifs) you might

need a /sbin/mount.<type> helper program)

However, there is no helper program.

Re: NFS mount need a /sbin/mount.<type> helper program

You need/want nfs-utils for mounting nfs filesystems on Linux.

Also note that NFS requires a port-mapper (rpcbind) on the client too.

Hope this helps,

Herbert
