PetaLinux 2014.2 - how to update to latest timezone data

Greetings!

My current 2014.2 build has older timezone data.  Where/how do I update this inside PetaLinux to support the latest timezone and daylight-saving-time conversions?  Usually this is found in tzdata, but I can't seem to find this file anywhere in my PetaLinux 2014.2 dev tree, and it doesn't appear on my system after booting.  I'm also unable to find out where one would add the "zdump" command.

Any help is appreciated - I have many customers wanting the DST switch to occur on the correct days!

Re: PetaLinux 2014.2 - how to update to latest timezone data

Hi Dave

Source code for timezone will be found in below github. This is generic source code.

Github link here: https://github.com/eggert/tz

Try building from source code using below commands:

Download source code

Change Makefile to have cc= arm-xilinx-linux-gnueabi-gcc

make

Extract rootfs and add the required binaries to rootfs and re-package
