I inherited a project built on Petalinux 2013.4.
We're seeing intermittent ethernet driver hangs which has us looking into moving to Petalinux 2016.
Do I need to obtain a bsp from Zedboard, we're using a Microzed z7010 board.
I don't recall needing to do so with Petalinux 2013.4.
Zedboard doesn't have a BSP for Petalinux 2016.4, latest is for Petalinux 2016.2.
I would need to downgrade to 2016.2 in this case.

It is not so simple to migrate from 2016.2 to 2016.4, lot of changes occured here. Better to have a readily available BSP for 2016.4.
Of course, alternatively if you need to move to 2016.4 is to create your own MicroZed BSP. Please take a look at these two posts for more details on how to do so :

I have done some more digging.
It appears we have been generating the BSP using XSDK and system.xml generated by Vivado.
I have some notes left behind by the prior developer which say to open XSDK, select File->New->Other.
Expand Xilinx item, select Hardware Platform Specification.... select System.xml file exported from Vivado...
Where do I find documentation describing this process?
Is there separate documentation for XSDK?
Can the BSP be generated the same way for Petalinux 2016.4?
