I've been having issues trying to run the PetaLinux installer on my Ubuntu 16.04 system. I have downloaded the nessecary libraries to support the .run file, but I keep getting this error:
INFO: Checking installation environment requirements...
INFO: Checking free disk space
INFO: Checking installed tools
INFO: Checking installed development libraries
INFO: Checking network and other services
INFO: Checking installer checksum...
ERROR: Failed to install PetaLinux. Installer checksum checking failed!
ERROR: Expected checksum is "6869d9a9e9d03f4cf6d529fe6dfc19e8", actual checksum is "ef37e427481d9f21acb15294ac4b15fa"
Please refer to the PetaLinux Tools Installation Guide.
Check the troubleshooting guide at the end of that manual, and if you are
unable to resolve the issue please contact customer support with file:
I've tried deleting and redownloading this file multiple times, but I still have the same issue. Please help if you can, thank you!

As a first step, try checking the checksum value of the downloaded file on your linux machine and see if that value matches with the md5sum value of petalinux installer:

Hi @shabbirk , thanks for the response,
I've checked the checksum of the file using md5sum, and it is different (value: e473be07042e08694cd85b71050f2e56). I don't understand why, as I downloaded the file straight from Xilinx onto my hard drive.
