Petalinux 2016.4 Can't create folders through install -d

Hi

I am using the 2126.4 version of petalinux and  trying to include the existing application in petalinux project

After execution of “petalinux-create -t apps --template install -n NewApp --enable “  command I expected to find the components/apps/NewApp/data directory

But , the directory was not created , also the make  file  was not created

I see the following :

~/petalinux/xilinx-zcu102-2016.4$ petalinux-create -t apps --template install -n NewApp --enable

INFO: Create apps: NewApp

INFO: New apps successfully created in /home/genadyk/petalinux/xilinx-zcu102-2016.4/project-spec/meta-user/recipes-apps/NewApp

INFO: Enabling created component...

INFO: sourcing bitbake

INFO: oldconfig rootfs

INFO: NewApp has been enabled

But under  /home/genadyk/petalinux/xilinx-zcu102-2016.4/project-spec/meta-user/recipes-apps/NewApp , there is no data directory and no makefile

I need the makefile to  install my application in the RootFS

What I did wrong ?

Thanks

Hi

Can you try giving without capital letters for application name (newapp). As per yocto standard, upper cases might results in weird behaviours.

Best Regards

Also

Please try giving following command for creating myapp:

petalinux-create -t apps --name myapp --enable

For more info on Petalinux-2016.4, Request you to refer Latest UG1144 version here:

... and don't use underscores, "_", either. Dashes, "-", are okay.
