Petalinux 2017.1 do_fetch sig is computed to be...

Jump to solution

This is probably more a Yocto/Bitbake related problem:

I seem to get the following warning during the build and are unsure how to handle it.

Packages affected include init-ifupdown, mtd-utils, dropbear -  All the subfolders/packages under /meta-user/recipes-core/ by chance:

The init-ifupdown:do_fetch sig is computed to be 92c59aa3a7c524ea790282e817080d0a, but the sig is locked to 9a10549c7af85144d164d9728e8fe23f in SIGGEN_LOCKEDSIGS_t-cortexa9hf-neon

Thanks

Hi, the following worked for me:

Place the follwowing in /project-spec/meta-user/conf/petalinuxbsp.conf (the ones you need)

SIGGEN_UNLOCKED_RECIPES += "init-ifupdown"
SIGGEN_UNLOCKED_RECIPES += "initscripts"
SIGGEN_UNLOCKED_RECIPES += "mtd-utils"
SIGGEN_UNLOCKED_RECIPES += "dropbear"

I ran into the same problem. I was able to solve it by removing the signatures from "build/conf/locked-sigs.inc". There is probably a better solution though, as I dont think modifying files in build is such a good idea.

I am also having this problem, but in PetaLinux 2017.2.

This person also had the issue but hasn't found a solution:

Any help would be much appreciated.

While trying to figure out how to set a static IP on a PicoZed, I was following the following instructions, which also caused the problem explained in this post.

https://www.xilinx.com/support/answers/68614.html

WARNING: The init-ifupdown:do_fetch sig is computed to be 66eecf91e24e955aa80633879c8a80e3, but the sig is locked to 9a10549c7af85144d164d9728e8fe23f in SIGGEN_LOCKEDSIGS_t-cortexa9hf-neon

I appreciate everyone's input!  I'm using 2017.2 and it looks like you might not need all four of these lines in your petalinuxbsp.conf.  I commented out two of them and everything built correctly and the PicoZed initialized the interface correctly.

SIGGEN_UNLOCKED_RECIPES += "init-ifupdown"
SIGGEN_UNLOCKED_RECIPES += "initscripts"
#SIGGEN_UNLOCKED_RECIPES += "mtd-utils"
#SIGGEN_UNLOCKED_RECIPES += "dropbear"

I will admit, I'm not all that familiar with the inner workings of Linux, so feel free to give me a hard time.  Just adding my findings.
