Petalinux Axi Interrupt Controller

Hello, I am trying to get an interrupt simply from GPIO using AXI interrupt Controller in Vivado. Using Petalinux 2014.4 however I cannot seem to find the interrupt when I "cat /proc/interrupts" I can see in my device tree that the push buttons are using the interrupt controller as the interrupt parent. I am wondering if I need to set some bit in the Controller and if so how do I do this. Thanks for any help. If there is an example that would be even better. Attached is pl.dtsi file.

Re: Petalinux Axi Interrupt Controller

IIRC the AXI interrupt controller driver was added after petalinux 2014.4.  Either upgrade, or upgrade the kernel, or if you really have to use 2014.4 then backport the driver.

Re: Petalinux Axi Interrupt Controller

		axi_intc_0: interrupt-controller@41800000 {
			#interrupt-cells = <2>;
			compatible = "xlnx,xps-intc-1.00.a";
			interrupt-controller ;
			interrupt-parent = <&axi_intc_0>;
			interrupts = <2>;
			reg = <0x41800000 0x10000>;
			xlnx,kind-of-intr = <0x0>;
			xlnx,num-intr-inputs = <0x1>;
		};

This looks very strange. The interrupt-parent is itself. Does your interrupt controller connect to the GIC? I suggest updating to the latest version as already suggested to see if the behaviour of the device tree generator has changed.
