Petalinux Failed to install buildtools

Jump to solution

Hello,

I tried to install Petalinux both with standalone installer and with Xilinx_Unified package. I get the same error with buildtools installation, but I can't understand why. I put down here the log.

Please refer to the PetaLinux Tools Installation Guide.

Check the troubleshooting guide at the end of that manual, and if you are
unable to resolve the issue please contact customer support with file:
   /ssd/bin/Xilinx/petalinux/PetaLinux/2020.2/bin/petalinux_installation_log

I'm on Manjaro (Archlinux) which I know is not officially supported, but it hasn't had any problem till now. And as far as I understand it is not an error based on the distribution.

Thank you for your help.

As reported in other posts, I was trying to install Petalinux on secondary drive with NTFS file-system, which is apparently not allowed.
Everything was fine when I installed it in home directory.
