Petalinux build errors

Jump to solution

I am using Petalinux 2018.2. Its installed in  /home/jon/petalinux dir. I have created a project in /home/jon/xilinx_proj dir. I imported the hdf and configured using the menu. But when it tries to build it I get these errors

[INFO] building project
[INFO] sourcing bitbake
environment: line 224: /home/jon/petalinux/components/yocto/source/arm/environment-setup-cortexa9hf-neon-xilinx-linux-gnueabi: No such file or directory
environment: line 225: /home/jon/petalinux/components/yocto/source/arm/layers/core/oe-init-build-env: No such file or directory
ERROR: Failed to source bitbake
ERROR: Failed to build project

The dir line 224 is trying to use does not exist. The files are not in a dir called arm but just in ../source/. Same for the second line (remove the arm and that is the dir). Its as though it hasnt been configured for the correct dir setup. Anyone know how to fix this? Thanks

Hi

It is recommended to use Ubuntu 16.04 for latest petalinux tools. See this post on details

One other thing, I am using Ubuntu 18 and I see in the docs it says to use 16. Could this be the issue?
