Petalinux custom kernel boot args

Jump to solution

Hi all,

Although I've setup some custom kernel bootargs using petalinux-config > DTG settings > Kernel Bootargs > user set kernel bootargs, they are not taken into account (I alwas see the default bootargs using cat /proc/cmdline).

The only working way I've found is to override the bootargs in the device-tree by adding a "chosen" section in system-user.dtsi containing the desired bootargs.

Is there a bug, or maybe I have missed something ?

Hi jeremy@easii-ic ,

Yes you are correct that's the only way you can add bootarg from build. Also you can update the bootargs at runtime from u-boot prompt.

Thanks,
Sandeep
