Petalinux with meta-linaro rootfs

Hi,

I wanted to ask you guys if there is a way to construct a linaro rootfs and use it as default rootfs using meta-linaro in petalinux 19.1 or 20.1?

You can add external Yocto layers in addition to the generated meta-user in a PetaLinux project so you should be able to add meta-linaro (see p. 81 "Adding Layers"):

I'm not familiar with the Linaro images, but if they have image recipes in that layer, you should be able to include (via "require" statement) by making a petalinux-user-image.bbappend file in your project

Thank you for the reply,

I managed to add the layer and to build it using the layer... I now curious if you can replace the default rootfs with the meta-linaro one.

If it's in the Linaro meta layer then you should be able to do:

petalinux-build -c <linaro-rootfs-recipe-name>

PetaLinux builds, configures and generates "petalinux-user-image" by default so unless you specify as above then the typical commands are performed on this image.
