Porting linux on ML507

I am trying to port linux on ML507 board. For this I followed http://xilinx.wikidot.com/powerpc-linux and xapp1107. I was able to suceessfully download the kernel image to the processr (simpleImage.initrd.virtex405-ml507.elf) through XMD. But I dont know what to do next. How to check if the linux has been successfully ported. Where I can see booting of the linux which has been ported?

Please help me.

I am assuming that you have a serial connection set up to display output on the hyperterminal or kermit...

Now that you have downloaded the image through xmd, just type 'run' without the quotes at the xmd prompt and you'll see the kernel booting on whatever your serial connection sends its output to (hypterminal/kermit..).

Cheers

Hi

Thanx for the reply.

I am a novice in FPGA programming. I am using RHEL 5 and I was working without Kermit. Now as per your suggestion I am going to work with Kermit.
