Jump to solution

Hi,

I 'd like to kernel porting on microblaze, and i used VCU118(Ultrascale+ board).

Question1) I have a googling and i knew that petalinux version should be same vivado version, this is correct??

Queston2) I don't have a vivado 2019.1 license (i can use vivado 2018.3 or 2018.1),

But i can't find VCU118 BSP for vivado 2018.3. is there a VCU118 BSP for 2018.3??

Hi @doohan93 ,

We don't have VCU118 BSP in 2018.3 release. It is available 2019.1 release onwards.

Thanks,
Sandeep

Re: Question between petalinux and vivado for microblaze linux porting

Hello I'm having similar issues.

On Xilinx websites are said that Petalinux now has support for Yocto to VCU118, I downloaded Yocto-Poky, added the meta-packages of Xilinx, some of them have layer support for Thud like meta-xilinx-tools, so I overwrote to warrior. However, still, I can't manage to build a Yocto/Linux image for Microblaze on VCU118.

Any update and working pointers on how to compile Linux for Microblaze specifically for VCU118, I have the latest Vivado toolset.
