Ubuntu for QEMU

Xilinx provides this post about Ubuntu for Zynq.

http://www.wiki.xilinx.com/Ubuntu+on+Zynq

They mention how to prep Ubuntu for booting a Zynq from SD card. I would like to boot a QEMU Zynq with Ubuntu. Usually when I boot QEMU (when I do not use the default PetaLinux command) I specify

System: aarch64

Machine: arm-generic-fdt-plnx

Machine-Config: Linux = on

Serial: /dev/null mon:stdio

Kernel: PetaLinux generated zImage

dtb: PetaLinux generated device tree blob

Which Ubuntu files would I need here? Would I need to build Ubuntu for ARM32 and specify that image for the Kernel QEMU option? Can I still use arm-generic-fdt-plnx for the machine?
