ZCU106 BSP mali repo error

Jump to solution

On petabuild of xilinx-zcu106-2017.2 BSP, I see:

ERROR: libmali-xlnx-r7p0-00rel0-r0 do_fetch: Fetcher failure for URL: 'git://gitenterprise.xilinx.com/Graphics/mali400-xlnx-userspace.git;protocol=https;branch=master'. Unable to fetch URL from any source.

From a linux prompt, I try:  git clone https://gitenterprise.xilinx.com/Graphics/mali400-xlnx-userspace.git/

Cloning into 'mali400-xlnx-userspace'...
fatal: unable to access 'https://gitenterprise.xilinx.com/Graphics/mali400-xlnx-userspace.git/': Could not resolve host: gitenterprise.xilinx.com

Can I modify the build to skip Mali or let me know what the correct git URL is and which script to modify?  Thanks.

Just updating what worked for me:

petalinux-build -x clean

petalinux-build -x mrproper

Need to regenerate some config files that mrproper removed:

petalinux-config

petalinux-config will create xilinx-zcu106-2017.2/build/conf/.  Edit local.conf

Replace URL that contains:

SOURCE_MIRROR_URL ?= "http://author.xilinx.com/...

With:

SOURCE_MIRROR_URL ?= "http://petalinux.xilinx.com/sswreleases/rel-v2017.2/downloads"

Save local.conf, then build:

petalinux-build

If you checking sstate takes too long, there's another post in the forum about that.  Hope this helps.

Hi

MALI kernel URL has been moved by ARM so you need to use the below workaround in local.conf.

INHERIT += "own-mirrors"

Hope that helps

Hello madhuba,

I am experiencing the same problem with Mali as described by kallensf. I have attempted to use your workaround by modifying local.conf under the build directory as you suggested but still get:

"ERROR: libmali-xlnx-r7p0-00rel0-r0 do_fetch: Fetcher failure for URL: 'git://gitenterprise.xilinx.com/Graphics/mali400-xlnx-userspace.git;protocol=https;branch=master'. Unable to fetch URL from any source."

When trying to access the source URL you provided I get a 404 Error. Any advice on where to go from here would be highly appreciated.

Hello again madhuba,

Thank you for your response but I still am having issues visiting https://gitenterprise.xilinx.com/Graphics/mali400-xlnx-userspace. I tried multiple computers on different networks and am still having problems connecting (server not found). I have also tried just visiting https://gitenterprise.xilinx.com/ with no success as well.

Thank you again.

you have to provide through petalinux-config  ( I tested , working for me )

if you use source mirror URL, use without ?   ( I didnt test though )

This solution does not work for me for 2018.1

The fetch log shows that the mirror is not accessed at all.

Hi all and @madhuba @vineethc

Same for rel-v2018.2...

Could you please tell us why on the branch rel-v2018.2 libmali-xlnx.bb is based on git version and not on sumo ?

https://github.com/Xilinx/meta-xilinx/tree/rel-v2018.2/meta-xilinx-bsp/recipes-graphics/libgles

https://github.com/Xilinx/meta-xilinx/tree/sumo/meta-xilinx-bsp/recipes-graphics/libgles

Thank you :)

Cheers,

Trigger
