Re: Zync Ulta scale+ is hangs while booting the kernel Image

Hi

Try adding the below command line entry to ./project-spec/meta-user/recipes-bsp/device-tree/files/system-user.dtsi

chosen {
                bootargs = "earlycon console=ttyPS0,115200";
                stdout-path = "serial0:115200n8";
        };

Best Regards

Re: Zync Ulta scale+ is hangs while booting the kernel Image

Hi

Are you able to boot with the prebuilt images? Normally prebuilt images are provided with petalinux, you can try booting these

Best Regards

Shabbir

Re: Zync Ulta scale+ is hangs while booting the kernel Image

I am seeing the same thing on our board.

I have a series of HDFs from bringing up various things on our board, and the older ones do not have the problem. I also have a Yocto build setup, and all of them work there.

Re: Zync Ulta scale+ is hangs while booting the kernel Image

I got the builds with the newer HDFs to boot by changing the bootargs in the dts and --bitstream argument to petalinux-boot. I still don't know why the older HDFs did not need the bootargs changed.

Re: Zync Ulta scale+ is hangs while booting the kernel Image

If the devicetree generated from the hdf does not match the bitstream your system may hang on reboot
