My Ubuntu version is: 16.04.

I run the following commands:

ardeal@ubuntu:~/xilinux$ mkdir -p /opt/pkg/petalinux/

ardeal@ubuntu:~/xilinux$ chmod 755 Xilinx_SDK_2018.2_0614_1954_Lin64.bin

ardeal@ubuntu:~/xilinux$ chmod 755 /opt/pkg/petalinux

ardeal@ubuntu:~/xilinux$ ./Xilinx_SDK_2018.2_0614_1954_Lin64.bin /opt/pkg/petalinux/

I got the following issue:

I search the issue on Google, and found the following page:

https://forums.xilinx.com/t5/Installation-and-Licensing/Installing-Vivado-2017-2-on-Ubuntu-16-04-1-LTS-VMware-Fusion/td-p/788306

This is the same issue as mine. its solution didn't fixed my issue.

Do you have any suggestion for my issue?

Many thanks and Best Regards,

Ardeal

Hi Adreal

Set the user permission to /opt/pkg/petalinux using chown command

Try running ls -l /opt/pkg/petalinux and if it is set to root, you will need to change to username using sudo chown -R username:username /opt/pkg/petalinux

Best Regards
