mmcblk* vs sd*

Hello.

I'm trying to boot linux using FPGA board.

In most manuals, they say I can find  mmcblk* when I connect sd(microsd)card.

However, in my case, there is no  mmcblk* but sdb at the /dev/

What is the difference between  mmcblk and sd??

Can I use sdb to mount and boot linux??

Thanks

Young

Re: mmcblk* vs sd*

Hi Young,

You might need to format your SD card to FAT16/32 filesystem format and try.
Best Regards
